OUR COTTON FABRICSÂ
All our gorgeous stripes are made from natural fibres and environmentally friendly dyes. Our stripes are “rough woven”, i.e. they are delivered as they come off the loom, without a finish. This means that during the first wash, you can expect to see a natural shrinkage in the length direction of around 8%. Don’t be concerned – our fabrics are designed with this in mind and will still be perfectly suited to your chair or stool.Â
BEFORE THE FIRST WASHÂ
To care for the natural texture of your cotton stripes, we recommend that you soak your fabric for 6 to 8 hours in cold water before the first wash or that you wash it in the machine on a cold wool cycle, without washing powder.Â
MACHINE WASH AT 30°Â
You can wash all your stripes using a gentle detergent, if necessary. We advise you to wash them separately during the first wash to best preserve your fabric’s colours. Do not leave them wet in the drum. To dry, hang long on a line.Â
IRONINGÂ
For better ironing, dampen your fabric slightly and use a hot iron.Â
DAY TO DAY CAREÂ
To preserve the appearance and brightness of your stripes, we recommend that you tuck it in after each use. The colours of the natural cotton fibres will fade over time with prolonged exposure to the sun or moonlight.Â
